Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the Head Boys Wrestling Coach and Program Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the wrestling program.
The ideal candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the mat, fostering a culture of excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship that aligns with the mission of HIES.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive wrestling program for student-athletes in grades 6–12.
Recruit, mentor, and develop assistant coaches to ensure a cohesive and effective coaching staff.
Plan and lead structured practices, match strategies, and individual athlete development.
Support student-athletes with the college recruitment process.
Conduct pre-season and post-season meetings with wrestlers, coaches, and staff.
Organize and oversee off-season conditioning and summer training programs.
Manage team equipment, uniforms, and budgetary needs.
Ensure compliance with GHSA rules and regulations.
Engage in ongoing professional development through wrestling clinics, conferences, and program visitations.
Uphold and promote the school’s mission by fostering a love of learning, respect for self and others, faith in God, and a commitment to service.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Proven success in coaching wrestling at the high school or collegiate level.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive athletic culture.
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, coaches, faculty, and parents.
