The Savannah Country Day School seeks an experienced individual to serve as Football Offensive Coordinator and Physical Education Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading offensive strategies and tactics for the football team, as well as teaching physical education classes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the athletic and overall development of Savannah Country Day School students. Coaching a winter or spring season sport is also required.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement offensive game plans for the Savannah Country Day School football team.
• Coordinate and oversee offensive practices, drills, and player development.
• Work closely with the head coach and other coaching staff to ensure alignment with team objectives.
• Provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes on offensive techniques, plays, and positional responsibilities.
• Teach physical education classes, focusing on fundamental movement skills, fitness, and sportsmanship.
• Develop and teach age-appropriate physical education curriculum, demonstrating fundamental movement skills, sports techniques, and fitness concepts.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth and skill development.
• Providing guidance and mentorship to students, promoting academic success, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
• Collaborate with other faculty, staff, and parents to support student success in the classroom and on the field.
• Coaches a winter or spring season sport and/or performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience coaching football at the high school level or above preferred.
• Strong knowledge of football offensive strategies, tactics, and player development required.
• Experience teaching Physical Education classes in the K-12 environment desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with students, parents, faculty and staff.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to reach their full potential is essential.
• Commitment to upholding the values of sportsmanship, integrity, and teamwork is a must.
• Valid Driver’s License and insurability required.
• Attendance at evening and weekend functions is required.

Physical Demands:
This position involves routine physical activity, with regular bending/reaching, pushing/pulling, stooping, and crouching. Also requires intermittent sitting, standing, and walking in various settings. Occasional running or brief strenuous activity may be required to demonstrate or aid in student training/instruction. Work is typically performed in campus buildings and outdoors, where the employee is occasionally exposed to heat, cold, or inclement weather. The employee carries light to medium weight objects, up to 50 pounds.
