Lakeside High School is accepting applications for the position of full-time Varsity Head Football Coach and
teacher. The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of the Lakeside High School’s varsity and junior varsity football program. The coach must demonstrate strong leadership in player and staff
development, sportsmanship, integrity, and character development. They must demonstrate
exceptional knowledge of the skills and strategies of the sport of football and have at least 5 years of experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
ï‚· Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate
ï‚· Foster among the participants and spectators an appreciation of the values of athletics,
a desire to perform at the highest level and possess an attitude of good sportsmanship
and a sense of pride in self, team, school, and community
ï‚· Direct the training, conditioning, and performance of the football program
ï‚· Lead, supervise, and coordinate the duties of the assistant coaches
ï‚· Demonstrate current knowledge of strength and conditioning programs and work
collaboratively with the coaches of all sports to build athletes
ï‚· Emphasize the importance of academic excellence and assist in monitoring and
maintaining high academic standards for members of the football program
ï‚· Become actively involved with the college recruiting process for team members
ï‚· Promote the program within the school and community
ï‚· Work cooperatively with parents and the Football Boosters
ï‚· Develop and maintain a relationship with the Columbia County Board of Education.
ï‚· Embrace and support the mission and beliefs of Lakeside High School
