Gordon Lee High School
Gordon Lee High School is looking to fill our boys’ head basketball coaching position. We are currently seeking a strong teacher certified in social studies, Business Education, or Economics. We are looking for a coach who has a great rapport with students, is hardworking and can build relationships with the students, faculty, and community. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the organization needed to run a complete program. There is a possibility the correct candidate may be able to bring an assistant coach with him.
General Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Emphasize the importance of academic excellence in the classroom
• Overseeing the development of players both on and off the court
• Ability to teach fundamentals and basketball skills
• Working with administrators, teachers and the athletic department
• Communicating with parents and players about team expectations, schedules, and training opportunities
• Motivating players to be the best possible version of themselves
• Scheduling for the entire program
• Fundraising
• A team player
• Exhibit and promote good sportsmanship
• Great promoter of the program to all stakeholders
