Dunwoody High School
Dunwoody High School is seeking a passionate and reliable Track & Field Coach to join our Wildcats coaching staff. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the head coach to plan, implement, and supervise training sessions that promote athletic development, teamwork, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.
Responsibilities
Assist in designing and leading event-specific workouts (sprints, mid-distance, jumps, throws, or hurdles)
Demonstrate proper technique, conditioning, and injury prevention strategies
Supervise athletes during practices, weight room sessions, and meets
Maintain open communication with students, parents, and coaching staff
Help monitor academic progress and behavior expectations
Ensure safety protocols and district athletic policies are followed
Support meet-day operations (set-up, timing, field events, etc.)
Qualifications
Prior experience as an athlete or coach in Track & Field preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes
Must pass background check per school district requirements
(Preferred) Teaching or paraprofessional position within the district
(Optional) USATF Level 1 or NFHS Coaching Certification
