The Windsor Forest High School Football Program is seeking a passionate, energetic, and high-character Defensive Line Coach to join our coaching staff. We are looking for a coach who is committed to developing disciplined, physical, and fundamentally sound defensive linemen while helping build young men of character. This is an opportunity to be part of a program that emphasizes competing at a high level while pursuing excellence on the field, in the classroom, and throughout the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coach the defensive line position group.
- Teach proper stance, alignment, footwork, hand placement, block destruction, pass-rush techniques, and tackling fundamentals.
- Prepare detailed practice plans and individual drills.
- Assist with defensive game planning and film breakdown.
- Evaluate opponent tendencies and provide scouting reports.
- Monitor player academic progress and encourage classroom success.
- Build positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, faculty, and the community.
- Support off-season strength and conditioning, summer workouts, and player development.
- Represent Windsor Forest Football with professionalism and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous high school, collegiate, or equivalent coaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of defensive front play and run-fit concepts.
- Experience using film software (Hudl preferred).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to mentor student-athletes beyond football.
- Teaching certification is preferred but not required. Employment opportunities within the school district may be available for qualified candidates.
