Assistant Wrestling Coach (Boys & Girls)

Position Overview:
Chestatee High School is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Assistant Wrestling Coach to support and help lead a competitive wrestling program for both boys and girls. This position is ideal for an individual with wrestling experience who is passionate about athlete development, teamwork, and building a strong program culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting daily practices, workouts, and competitions
Provide technical instruction and skill development for wrestlers of varying experience levels
Support both boys’ and girls’ wrestling programs equally
Help supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and team events
Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and academic accountability among athletes
Assist with match preparation, scouting, and in-season/off-season training
Ensure compliance with GHSA and Hall County Schools policies and guidelines
Contribute to team-building efforts and positive program culture
Qualifications:
Prior wrestling experience (high school, collegiate, or coaching preferred)
Previous coaching experience in wrestling or other sports is strongly encouraged
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, athletes, and school administration
Commitment to student-athlete development both on and off the mat
Additional Opportunities:
Opportunities to coach other sports may be available based on experience and interest
Teaching positions within the school are open and can be paired with this role (subject areas vary)
Work Schedule:
Seasonal position with practices and competitions primarily after school hours and occasional weekends
