McDonough High School is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Girls Basketball Coach to lead our girls basketball program. This is an exciting opportunity to build a competitive and inspiring team culture, focused on athletic excellence, academic achievement, and personal growth.
A certified Physical Education teaching position is available in conjunction with this role.
Responsibilities:
– Oversee all aspects of the girls basketball program, including varsity, JV, and feeder programs
– Plan and lead team practices, games, and conditioning programs
– Foster a positive, disciplined, and respectful team environment
– Monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes
– Collaborate with school administration, athletic department, and parents
– Maintain high standards of sportsmanship and character

Qualifications:
– Previous coaching experience (head or assistant) at the high school level preferred
– Valid Georgia teaching certification in Physical Education (or ability to obtain)
– Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
– Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes
