Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for 19-20 SY
The Lamar County School System is seeking a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach responsible for the overall operation of the strength and conditioning training of all student-athletes.
The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for managing all of the primary duties listed below:
Design and develop a year round strength and conditioning program for all athletes.
Design and ensure valid and reliable testing and monitoring of student-athletes.
Establish and maintain a safe and productive weight room.
Hold and participate in weight lifting competitions with other schools.
Work closely with athletic trainer and coaches regarding rehabilitation efforts.
Work with head coaches to improve athletic conditioning, reduce injuries, and maximize performance in and out of season.
Lamar County Schools, located in Barnesville, GA consist of approximately 2,800 students located on one central campus. The school system consistently generates high graduation rates, increased student achievement performance; and has a reputation for outstanding facilities, and thriving extracurricular programs. This newly created position will inherit a brand new fully stocked weight room in a $32-million-dollar high school opening in the fall of 2019.
