Lamar County High School is accepting applications for Head Football Coach for the 2021-2022
School Year.
• Situated off I-75 between Atlanta and Macon, the Lamar County School System, located in
Barnesville, Georgia, comprises four traditional schools (primary, elementary, middle, and
high).
• More than 380 employees proudly serve a diverse student population of approximately
2,800 students (61% White; 33% Black; and 6% Asian/Hispanic/Native American/Multi-
Racial).
• All students in Lamar County School System are on one campus, which includes: a brand
new high school, new weight room, new FieldTurf practice facility; a new athletic fieldhouse
with a kitchen, dining area, coaches offices, and meeting rooms; 1,000-seat Fine Arts
Center; and a beautiful turf stadium surrounded by an 8-lane rubberized track.
• Lamar County High School received the prestigious “FIVE STAR” rating by the Georgia
Department of Education last year and consistently produces graduation rates amongst the
best in the state.
• 100% of LCSS classrooms have high-speed Internet access and provides one-to-one
devices for students.
• Lamar County Schools pride themselves in offering quality academic, extracurricular, and
post-secondary opportunities. Lamar County High School works with regional partners
including our local Gordon College and Southern Crescent Technical School to provide Dual
Enrollment coursework, Worked-Based Learning in local businesses, and Career Pathways
in: Video Productions; Business & Technology; Army JROTC; Health Science; Education &
Training; and AG. With tremendous support of the community, Lamar County Schools are

Flexibility with certification field. Candidate must possess or be eligible for a Georgia
Teaching Certificate. Chosen candidate will be expected to reside in Lamar County.
