Coaches:
The Lee Murray Invitational Golf Tournament was a great success, thanks to
Coach Jon Willoughby the chairman of the outing. We played at Sappelo
Hammock Golf Club in Shellman Bluff, Georgia. 38 coaches/golfers played
and had a great tournament.

If you want to get on the list for next year please email Coach Willoughby
jbeast29@gmail.com. The cost was $150.00 per player for golf and food. He
will be in contact with other places in the state to see if there is a
better package, and the date is the first weekend in March. Come and
support this event and have some fun with your fellow coaches.

I wanted to update everyone on our Hall of Fame banquet on June 5, 2021.
The Dalton Convention Center has given us a Covid-19 guide that we must
follow.

We will have a limited number of seats that are available, and they will
be reserved for the family and guests of the inductees and award winners.
The six inductees have a total of 28 (including themselves) guests they
have submitted to our office to invite. The award winners have a total of
8 on their list.

We will not be able to have our usual past inductees, past presidents, and
sponsor invitations. It is our hope that in 2022 we can return to normal
activities for our Hall of Fame weekend. If you have any questions, please
call me.

Thanks,

Bobby McAllister

The Executive Board amended the by laws of the Georgia Head Football Coaches Association and changed the name to the Georgia Football Coaches Association so all football coaches may be members. To belong to the football association you must be a member of the GACA. New membership will begin on April 1, 2020 with GACA dues at $55.00 per coach and GFCA dues are $25.00 per coach.

It has been brought to my attention that there are discussions by certain groups that would encourage school administrators to turn in coaches who are ejected from athletic contest to the Professional Standard Commission. Coaches please try to remember that your games are an extension of the school day, and many sets of eyes are fixed on your actions.

GACA dues are now $65.
